Barangay Langiran

A long time ago, there was a boy living in this place who had this strange habit of not wearing a hat when he worked on the farm. The locals were amused at the boy because of his unusual habit. The boy was called “Langitlangi.”

One day there was an American citizen who came to this barangay and, of course, saw the boy. He asked the boy something, but the boy ran away from the visitor. The American citizen said, “he runs.” Since then, the place was named after Langi who ran. And that is how the barangay came to be called Langiran.
