Multitasking in July
Multitasking in July
July is abuzz with events and activities, challenging
the LGU this month with the task of accommodating everything without the schedules
overlapping. This is because two major occasions coincided this month: the 43rd
National Nutrition Month and the National Disaster Resilience Month.
Then there
were the 39th National Disability Prevention and Rehabilitation Week (July
17-23) and the National Diabetes Awareness Week (July 24-30) to consider as
well.
On top of these, July had to open with
Mayor Cezar T. Quiambao’s first State of the Municipality Address, which drew
together representatives from all walks of life under one roof, not to mention
distinguished guests from afar. (We published a separate booklet just for that.)
The town’s elementary and secondary schools
specially got involved in the two major month-long events, and this meant big
crowds to serve and manage so the scheduled activities of the day would run
smooth.
Thanks to the dedication and hard work of
all departments and units concerned, the month was a month well spent, filled as
it was with things enriching and memorable.
This month’s issue hopes to memorialize all
that gargantuan effort with some quick documentation.
