Activities for Children and Youth

 Lively Celebration of the 51st Nutrition Month in Bayambang


Led by the Municipal Nutrition Committee and the Municipal Nutrition Action Office (MNAO), LGU-Bayambang successfully conducted a series of fun and educational activities in celebration of the 51st National Nutrition Month in July. These included activities that engaged local children and the youth.




CDC Learners Compete in Nutri-‘Family Feud’


The following day, the “Nutri-A1 Child - Family Feud Edition” was held, featuring children from different Child Development Centers (CDCs) across the barangays. The contest aimed to promote awareness of proper nutrition and health among young learners. Representatives from Banaban, San Gabriel 1st, Warding, and Tanolong CDCs were declared winners and received a total of ₱16,000 in prizes.



Barangays, Schools, and CDCs Join the Celebration


Across the municipality, barangays, schools, and Child Development Centers actively participated in the 51st National Nutrition Month celebration by organizing various activities, including a Mother’s Class graduation, poster and slogan-making contests, Nutri-Quiz, cookfest, distribution of food packs and vitamins, and more.


Culmination Day Highlights a Month of Fun and Learning


The celebration concluded on July 31 with a lively Culmination Day held at the Bayambang Events Center. Activities included the Search for Nutrition A1 Child, and Search for Most Outstanding BNS; recognition of active donors and sponsors; and an ukay-ukay for a cause with live selling and a fashion show by BPRAT, capped off with a vibrant food fair.









8th RLK Anniversary and Linggo ng Kabataan Celebrated Together!


The Sangguniang Kabataan (SK) Federation of Bayambang, in partnership with the Local Youth Development Office (LYDO) and under the guidance of the Bayambang Poverty Reduction Action Team (BPRAT), spearheaded a series of activities in celebration of the 8th anniversary of the Rebolusyon Laban sa Kahirapan (RLK) and the annual Linggo ng Kabataan.


- “Bali-Balin Bayambang 3.0” Launched for a Cleaner Community


The celebration kicked off with the launch of Bali-Balin Bayambang 3.0, in collaboration with the Ecological Solid Waste Management Office (ESWMO), to further strengthen cleanliness and orderliness in the municipality.


- Donation Turned Over to Beneficiary from Brgy. Bical Norte


Funds raised from the recent 'Ukay for a Cause' activity were turned over to the chosen beneficiary, and indigent family with kids from Barangay Bical Norte.


- Outreach Program at Don Teofilo Mataban Memorial School


SK Chairpersons conducted an outreach program at Don Teofilo Mataban Memorial School in Barangay Ligue, featuring a storytelling session and the distribution of reading materials to the students.


- Youth Showcase in Literary and Arts Contest


On August 19, the SK Federation held a literary and arts competition where young participants showcased their talents in poster-making and essay writing and poetry slam performance.


- Youth Health Talk Promotes Holistic Well-Being


The following day, a youth health forum was conducted to discuss the importance of a holistic approach to health and wellness among the youth.


- Youth Leadership Development Symposium Held


On August 21, the Youth Leadership Development Symposium took place, attended by SK Chairpersons and student leaders to enhance their leadership skills and civic awareness.


- “Laro ng Lahi” Promotes Filipino Culture and Heritage


On the same day, a Laro ng Lahi competition was organized to help young people appreciate traditional Filipino games and promote the country’s cultural heritage in sports and recreation.


- Twin Musicfests Light Up the Night


In the evening of August 22, youth participants showcased their musical talents in the 'HimigSikan Battle of the Bands,' held alongside the fun-filled 'Your Face Sounds Familiar' contest.


- Culmination with Awarding and SK Fellowship Night


The celebration concluded with an Awarding and SK Fellowship Night, where winners from the various competitions were recognized, and the youth enjoyed a night of camaraderie and celebration.


- SK Officials Attend Budget Training


In addition, SK officials also participated in a Budget Management Training facilitated by the Municipal Budget Office. The session provided guidance on proper budgeting procedures and emphasized transparency and accountability in fund utilization.
