The Calvo Bridge in Bayambang, Pangasinan, completed in 1916, was a crucial infrastructure project that improved transportation and connectivity in the region. Built at a cost of ₱87,779.51, it symbolized the Philippine government's investment in modern road networks during the American colonial period.

Designed to withstand heavy traffic and seasonal floods, the bridge played a vital role in commerce and daily travel, linking communities and facilitating the transport of agricultural goods. It stood as a testament to early 20th-century engineering, reflecting the era’s push for development and modernization.
