History of Barangay Tanolong
During the Spanish Regime, Tanolong trees are open planted in our Barangay, and the people residing in this area have discover that the Tanolong trees, the leaves, thorn, and branches can cure illness.
During the time and the following years, the population of the Barangay was already thick so the Tanolong trees because of thorn and branches the people are cutting the trees. They want to clean their surroundings where the trees are planted; that time the people of the Barangay want to change the name of the Barrio which was formerly Barrio Talimorong and because it was voted by the majority, that the name was then changed to the formerly Barrio Tanolong, because of Tanolong trees that can cure illness.
