 HISTORY OF BARANGAY MAGSAYSAY

During the early sixties, Roxas Street was a well-known place of Poblacion, Bayambang, Pangasinan because of its clean surroundings and cooperative industrious populace.
 
 As years pass by, residents of the area conceived and believed that the place should be created into a Barangay to believed that the place should be created into a barangay to realize its aspirations to become a model community not only in the poblacion area but in the whole municipality of Bayambang, Pangasinan.
 
 Due to this ardent and noble desire, a petition was forwarded to the proper authorities and luckily approved the creation of Barangay Magsaysay. From the original three (3) streets of Roxas, Zamora, and Quezon Boulevard, the streets of Magsaysay ___? Guerilla were added to form the new famous Barangay Magsaysay.
 
 The asphalting of Magsaysay Street was made possible through the auspices of the late cycling icon, Atty. Geruncio Lacuesta while the Guerilla Street was concreted during the incumbency of Barangay Captain Bonifacio Padua.
 
At present, Barangay Magsaysay has a land area of 19.75 hectares, more or less and inhabited by 2,125 people whom 1,056 are male and 1,069 are female. The place is bonded on the North, by Zone 6; on the East by Zone 2, and the West; by Barangay Del Pilar and on the South, by Barangay Bical Norte, Bayambang, Pangasinan.
