 History of Barangay Ligue

Once upon a time, one of the residents was a young lady named Sabel, who had beautiful long-legged legs. She was courted by a guy who came from Spanish family so every time he wants to visit Sabel and the people who lived there asking him where he is going to and he replied, “I will go to Sable who has long-legged legs.” From there, they came up with the word “legged” pronounced as LIGUE.

So, the people who lived there decided to call as “BARRIO LIGUE.” After so many years, Barangay Ligue has expanded great families who have simple living. Farming is one of their sources of income.
