HISTORY OF BARANGAY CADRE SITE

Barangay Cadre Site is also the site of 289 hectares Camp Greg Military Reservation declared by the Youth colonial government from 1903 – 1949 Camp Greg Military reservation was declared on October 13, 1034 by the U.S. Colonial government and they were only turned over to the Philippine government on March 27, 1949 and particular Barangay of lands on September 29, 1949. It included the Barangay Cadre Site. Senior farmers who still resides in the area said that their ancestors have titled the land which used to be forested areas. They continued cultivation of the lands during the American and Japanese occupation of the country.
This is also one of the widest areas in Bayambang where you can find the eldest Cemetery. This is also the first Barangay what we called “Tenyente del Barrio” in the name of Jose “ Pepe” Tagulao Junio and the first Barangay celebrate Santa Cruzan. This is also the place where you can find many persons served as Municipal Mayor in Bayambang like Salvador Quinto, Calixto Camacho and Atty. Jaime P. Junio.
