HISTORY OF BARANGAY TAMBAC

 HISTORY OF BARANGAY TAMBAC

Brgy. Tambac, in the old days, was a flood-prone area, particularly the eastern part. The flooding was a big problem during rainy days.
Through the initiative of the people, earth filling (pantambac) was the remedy they thought of, to elevate their place and to avoid the mess brought about by floodings. This was how Brgy. Tambac got its name.
Brgy. Tambac, with 75.03 hectares of land area, is composed of seven (7) puroks, with 2 sitios, with more or less 3,000 population. Tambac is bounded by Brgy. Tamaro in the north, by Brgy.
