 HISTORY OF BARANGAY IDONG

During the post war period our Barangay Idong is a part of Sitio of Barangay Hermoza. The punong barangay then is known as the Teniente del Barrio. The name “IDONG” usually give assistance and referral to the problem for immediate solution. Particularly when violence occurred as the “The old man Idong” has a very mediate to those who victims of bad spirits. He could lay to heal the victim of a spirit victims.

Due to many difficulties, encountered in the barangay as it is part of Barangay Hermoza, the mother barrio around the District the old man is the instrumental of becoming a barangay or barrio.

It is now called Barangay Idong in honor of the old man who has dedicated himself in the upliftment of the barrio.

The old man is known and it is not sure of its authentically as IDONG ARCHANGEL.
