Its brainchild is environmentalist and artist Edgard Guevara.
Among Guevara's projects were the culture of spirulina (blue green algae which he said is a superfood), bottled organic lemongrass concentrate, typhoon-resistant 'earth domes,' etc.
I met him in person, and he was quite a character. He said he was one of the founders of EcoWaste Coalition (or is that Zero Waste?).
He was friends with kindred spirits like the former Environment Secretary and ABS-CBN Foundation Managing Director Gina Lopez.
