HISTORY OF BUENLAG 2ND
There was a great place called
Nalsian, and the people were glad to live in this place. Thanks to the
leadership of the first Teniente, the community was peaceful and had full of
resources, their basic needs easily taken from just around their surroundings.
After a year, many people wanted to
live in Nalsian, and the place became populous. There came a time when the
first Teniente declared something that some people came to be in disagreement with.
The population in disagreement with
the first Teniente got so massive and uncontrollable that now they demanded to have
their own place. Since their part of the place was situated across the road,
they referred to it in the Pangasinan language as “nanbenlag.”
Eventually they got what they wanted.
They called the place Buenlag 2nd under the leadership of Teniente
Hermeniano Junio, and at present this is how this barangay is still called.
