Bayambang: Before 2016 vs. 2026

Before 2016, Bayambang was largely a typical agricultural municipality with limited infrastructure, services, and economic drivers; by 2026, it had evolved into a rapidly modernizing municipality marked by extensive infrastructure, expanded healthcare and education, stronger governance systems, tourism development, and an ambitious anti-poverty agenda.


1. GOOD GOVERNANCE

Before 2016

  • Traditional bureaucratic systems
  • Limited use of ICT and digital governance
  • Several local special bodies inactive or underutilized
  • Lower municipal revenues and fewer business registrations
  • Governance mechanisms largely transactional

By 2026

  • New units and departments created
  • New Municipal Annex Bldg. constructed
