A. DepEd Region I and Division Officials Meet Again Regarding Central School

On August 10, DepEd Region I Director Tolentino Aquino and division officials met once again with the LGU Legal Team, Mayor Niña Jose-Quiambao, and Special Assistant to the Mayor, Dr. Cezar Quiambao, in the Mayor's Conference Room to discuss updates on the LGU's case regarding the reacquisition of Bayambang Central School. This meeting indicates that the LGU's efforts to regain control of Central School as a property of the town of Bayambang are on-going.

 

HEALTH FOR ALL

- Health (RHUs)

 

A. KSB Year 6 Services Given in Bani

Despite the heavy rainfall brought by Typhoon 'Egay,' the Komprehensibong Serbisyo sa Bayan Year 6 continued to provide free Total Quality Services  to residents of Bani, Asin, and Ligue . This program  of KSB Year 6, was held on July 28 at Bani Elementary School, and warmly received by 350 residents despite the overcast skies.

 

B. PBSP Provides Free X-rays to TB Patients and High-Risk Individuals in Caturay

As part of the Lung Month 2023 observance, the Philippine Business for Social Progress sponsored free X-ray examinations for individuals suspected of having tuberculosis (TB). With assistance from the RHU and Bayambang District Hospital, household contacts of confirmed TB patients, suspected TB patients, diabetic patients, and smokers were X-rayed. They were also provided with rice, vitamins, and toothbrushes by the Rotary Club and LGU.

C. Weighing Scales Calibration, Conducted for Barangays

On August 8 to 9, staffs from the Special Economic Enterprise and Rural Health Unit, recently trained by DOST, conducted a calibration activity for weighing scales used in barangays. This ensures accurate weight measurements for children and helps prevent false-positive results in malnutrition assessments.

 

D. KSB Year 6 in Inirangan

On August 11, Komprehensibong Serbisyo sa Bayan Year 6 goes  to Inirangan-Reynado Elementary School to continue its fight against poverty and provide free services for Brgy. Reynado, Carungay, and Inirangan. Led by Inirangan Punong Barangay Jonathan Espejo and other officials, the KSB Year 6 team was warmly welcomed by the community to receive various services marked by Total Quality Service. The activity had 788 total registered clients, according to KSB Year 6 organizer Dr. Roland Agbuya.

 

E. Rabies Vaccination Drive in Caturay

The Municipal Veterinarian and staffs  from the Agriculture Office visited Barangay Caturay on August 16 to conduct a massive anti-rabies vaccination campaign for animals. Vaccination is an effective solution to prevent rabies and rabies-related deaths, as there is still no cure for rabies. Everyone is reminded to be responsible pet owners and comply with the Antirabies Act of 2007.

 

F. KSB Year 6 in Nalsian

On August 18, residents from Barangay Tamaro, Nalsian Norte, and Nalsian Sur gathered to Nalsian Elementary School for the Komprehensibong Serbisyo sa Bayan Year 6(KSB Y6). The entire KSB Year 6 crew came once more to deliver free service from the with a Total Quality Service to the attendees. According to the overall organizer's report, Dr. Roland Agbuya, the program had 937 beneficiaries.

 

G. LGU's Free Services Flocked to Sapang

Residents of Barangay Sapang, Duera, and Banaban, young and old, came together to attend the Komprehensibong Serbisyo sa Bayan Year 6 held at Sapang Elementary School on August 25. All departments offered their respective services, from assessment services by the Assessor's Office to zoning advice from the Planning and Development Office. According to Dr. Roland Agbuya, the overall organizer, the activity benefited a total of 1,016 people.

 

H. Review of Local Health Programs by DOH and PHO

On August 29, representatives from the Department of Health (DOH) and the Provincial Health Office visited for a Semi-Annual Program Implementation Review (PIR), held in the Mayor's Conference Room. The PIR is an instrument to monitor and evaluate the implementation of national and local health programs using various scorecards. The Municipal Administrator, the three town doctors, and RHU staff from I, II, and III reported on their respective accomplishments.

A.  LGU-Lingayen Benchmarks MNAO

On August 3, LGU-Lingayen conducted benchmarking with the Municipal Nutrition Action Office to learn about best practices in providing proper nutrition to undernourished children in the town of Bayambang. The visitors, led by Lingayen Nutrition Officer Pol Johanna Celestino-Morante, were welcomed by Municipal Administrator Atty. Rodelynn Rajini S. Vidad, Municipal Nutritionist Venus Bueno, and her staff in the Mayor's Conference Room. They also visited the Nutrition Office.

 

B. Funds Raised, Used to Purchase Food Packs for Youth

With the assistance of employees and private individuals who availed food stubs during the previous Nutrition Month celebration fundraising activity, the Nutrition Office raised funds to provide grocery packages worth P1,000 each to around 30 youth beneficiaries. The distribution of food packs took place in various barangays on August 2.

A. Rotaract Club Hosts Zumba for a Cause

On June 11, the Rotaract Club of Bayambang organized a "Zumba for a Cause" at the Balon Bayambang Events Center. "2Gether We Rac, Zumba for a Cause" had 276 participants from different towns in Pangasinan and was visited by Rotaract District Officers from various parts of Luzon. The proceeds from the activity will go towards Rotary International's End Polio Campaign.

A. Training on Basic Bookkeeping Conducted for 4Ps Beneficiaries

On August 15, the DSWD, in collaboration with MSWDO and BPRAT, organized a training on financial report preparation and basic bookkeeping. OIC Municipal Accountant Flexner de Vera discussed various procedures related to bookkeeping and financial report generation. Dr. Rafael Saygo, BPRAT Chairperson, explained the CONE Approach, a strategy to make livelihood projects successful. By imparting new knowledge to members of the DSWD's Sustainable Livelihood Projects, their skills in managing their businesses will be enhanced.

 

B. Bayanihan Lions Club Int'l Joins Brigada Eskwela

On August 16, the Bayambang Bayanihan Lions Club International showed support for Brigada Eskwela by providing tools for repairs and cleaning, such as brooms, dustpans, rags, and cement, to Tococ National High School and elementary schools in Tococ, Sancagulis, Managos, Wawa, Malimpec, and Amancosiling Sur.

A. DENR-EMB R1 Monitoring & Validation Continues

On August 2, the DENR-Environment Management Bureau-Region 1 conducted a six-day monitoring of Bayambang's implementation of the 10-Year Solid Waste Management Plan. The agency inspected the waste management system at the MRF, RHU, Public Market, 77 barangays, and schools to ensure Bayambang's compliance with RA 9003, the Ecological Solid Waste Management Act of 2000.

 

B. DENR: Bayambang Complies with RA 9003 Implementation

In an exit interview held on August 4 at the Mayor's Conference Room, DENR-EMB R1 announced the results of their Initial 10-Year Plan Monitoring. The validators stated that LGU-Bayambang is compliant with the implementation of RA 9003, highlighting Mayor Nina Jose-Quiambao's Bali-Balin Bayambang program as one of the best practices in the town. The LGU's recordkeeping system and waste collection procedures were also praised.

 

C. Another Scops Owl Found and Turned Over to MENRO

MENRO turned over another scops owl species to DENR Dagupan on August 9. According to MENRO, two residents of Brgy. Inirangan surrendered the owl on August 8 after it fell from a mango tree. DENR will transport the owl to the Wildlife Rescue Center in Mangatarem. This marks the eighth owl reported to be voluntarily surrendered to MENRO since 2022.

 

 

D. Rotaract Club and Other Groups Join Forces for Tree Planting

The local youth group, Rotaract Club of Bayambang, organized a tree-planting activity in Daang Kalikasan, Mangatarem, Pangasinan, on August 20, with the participation of various groups, including STAC Bayambang. The activity was sponsored by CSFirst Green AID Inc, Local Youth Development Office, and Rotary Club of Bayambang. There were 421 participants, each was given 10 seedlings to plant.

A. Local Youth Trained in Hydroponics Farming

Seventy young individuals, all children of local farmers in Bayambang, underwent Basic Hydroponics Training on August 11 at the Balon Bayambang Events Center. Rainier Estrada, an expert from D&E Aquaponics, discussed hydroponic farming as an alternative solution to contribute to food sustainability and provide an alternative livelihood source. LYDO organized the training with the assistance of MAO, SK, and BPRAT as part of the celebration of Youth Week and International Youth Day.

 

B. Youth Encouraged to Enter Farming Business at Agripreneur Forum

On August 25, the Local Youth Development Office organized a forum for the youth as part of the Youth Week and International Youth Day celebration. The forum, held at the Balon Bayambang Events Center, with the theme "Upskilling the Youth in Agriculture." Fifty children of local farmers attended the event, where they listened to success stories of farmers who became successful in their farming businesses.

 

C. Abalos Inducted as Pangasinan LYDO Federation President

On August 25, Bayambang Local Youth Development Officer Johnson Abalos attended the Local Youth Assembly and was formally inducted as the President of the Federation of Local Youth Development Officers of Pangasinan for the year 2023. The induction ceremony took place at the Pangasinan Training Center, with Board Member Philip Theodore Cruz as the inducting officer.

 

D. Bayambangueño Reaches Provincial Level of Young Farmers Challenge

A Bayambangueño made it to the provincial level of the Department of Agriculture's Young Farmers Challenge for 2023. According to the Municipal Agriculture Office, the participant is Christian Lee S. Lapurga from Brgy. Tampog. His entry for the Startup Open Category is a native goat production project.

AGRICULTURAL MODERNIZATION - (MAO)

A. Local Rice Seed Growers Attended a  5-Day Training

Local rice seed growers attended the "Training on Inbred Rice Seed Production and Certification for Potential Seed Growers" from August 1 to 5. The training took place at the Agricultural Training Institute-Regional Training Center 1 in Sta. Barbara, Pangasinan.

 

B. PCIC Processes Over 500 Crop Insurance and Claims Applications

On August 1, the Philippine Crop Insurance Corp. (PCIC) visited the Municipal Agriculture Office to assist local farmers in insuring their crops. They processed over five hundred (500) applications for crop insurance and indemnity claims for those affected by Typhoon 'Egay.'

 

C. OPAG Validates Sites for Corporate Farming Project

On August 4, the Office of the Provincial Agriculturist visited Bayambang to validate possible locations for Governor Ramon Guico III's corporate farming project. The project aims to cluster and consolidate small farms and modernize farming as a business.

 

D. 61 Local Farmers Graduate from School on Air and Rank Top 3 in Exam

On August 4, 61 Bayambang farmers graduated from the "School on Air on Smart Rice Agriculture" by the Department of Agriculture. The graduation ceremony took place at the Urdaneta City Sports Center. Bayambang's farmers also secured the top 3 spots in an examination out of 29 municipalities in Region I that participated in the training from May to June 2023.

 

E. Meeting on Census of Agriculture and Fisheries

On August 7, concerned department heads of the LGU held a meeting regarding the Census of Agriculture and Fisheries (CAF) by the Philippine Statistics Authority. Dr. Xavier Narvas, the Focal Person for Pangasinan, along with Bayambang's CAF Focal Person, Josephine Rosario, attended the meeting. They discussed how to ensure the success of the census in Bayambang by establishing a local CAF Coordinating Board.

 

F. Update from the Rice Varietal Derby

The Farmers Field School meeting of the Agriculture Office, now on its twelfth session, continued to discuss the results of the Agro-Ecosystem Analysis. This analysis studied the effects of various factors on the hybrid rice varieties under investigation.

 

 

G. Farmers' Presidents convened by the Provincial Office

The Provincial Agriculture Office (PAO) convened the presidents of farmers' associations in Bayambang to discuss provincial government programs, including the Corporate Farming Program and Kadiwa Program. The meeting, held on August 18, was attended by MAO and BPRAT and took place at Pavilion I of St. Vincent Ferrer Prayer Park. It explained Governor Ramon 'Monmon' Guico III's Corporate Farming Program and President Ferdinand R. Marcos Jr.'s Kadiwa Program.

 

H. Kadiwa Rolling Store Visits Bayambang

Pangasinan Governor Ramon Guico III brought the Kadiwa Mobile Store to the front of the Balon Bayambang Events Center on August 25. This retail selling program is an initiative by President Ferdinand Marcos Jr. to strengthen the agriculture sector and ensure a steady supply of quality food at affordable prices. The activity was launched by Vice-Mayor Ian Camille Sabangan, Provincial Agriculturist Dalisay Moya, and other officials. It featured 20 retailing stores from various towns in Pangasinan.

 

I. Field Demo on Drone Spraying and Fertilizer Application by OPAG in Dusoc

On August 30, the Provincial Agriculture Office conducted a field demonstration of drone spraying and drone fertilizer application technology in Brgy. Dusoc. The event was led by provincial and municipal agriculture officials, along with members of the Farmers’ Federation. The use of drone technology is a significant help in streamlining farmers' work and reducing their exposure to chemical substances.

 

JOBS AND LIVELIHOOD FOR ALL

- Livelihood and Employment (MESO, BPRAT)

 

A. DOLE Conducts Profiling Activity for TUPAD Program

DOLE, in cooperation with PESO-Bayambang, conducted a profiling activity for the TUPAD Program on August 2 at Pavilion I of Saint Vincent Ferrer Prayer Park. A total of 443 PWDs will benefit from the DOLE TUPAD Program, and they are set to receive P4,000 after 10 days of cleaning work.

 

B. Galing Pook Foundation Validates Bayambang's Shortlisted Entry

On August 2, validators from the Galing Pook Foundation visited to personally inspect the LGU and DSWD's Bani Delicious Ice Cream Livelihood Project. The validation began at the Mayor's Conference Room, where BPRAT, DSWD, MSWDO, and Kasama Kita sa Barangay Foundation met with the visitors. The validators expressed interest in the "CONE Approach" as a strategy for the success of the livelihood program. This project is among the top 33 out of 166 entries nationwide.

 

C. Leadership Training for SLPAs Explores Different Leadership Styles

On August 7, DSWD conducted a Leadership Training for Sustainable Livelihood Program Association (SLPA) Executive Board Members. The training discussed various leadership styles within the association and the different responsibilities of a leader. This training is expected to enhance the knowledge of each leader in managing the latest 14 SLP Associations.

 

D. Agew na Propesyunal and Mini-Job Fair Serves 482 Clients

a. On August 22, a Mini-Job Fair was held at the Events Center, organized by the Public Employment Service Office. Twenty-five applicants were interviewed, nine were qualified, four were hired on the spot, and twelve were near-hires.

 

b. Simultaneously, the Agew na Propesyunal event took place, where 446 Bayambang residents availed free services from the Professional Regulations Commission (PRC) Regional Office 1, including Licensure Examination applications and more. The PRC's mobile service greatly assists professionals in processing their documents.

 

E. PESO Conducts Special Recruitment Activity

On August 25, the Public Employment Services Office conducted a Special Recruitment Activity in front of their office. Tekstil Manpower and Construction Corporation served as the recruiter.

A. RNG Luzon Features Bayambang

On August 12 and 13, the Regional News Group - Luzon conducted video shoots as part of the provincial government's project to feature various towns in Pangasinan as tourism destinations. They were assisted by the Tourism Office in visiting local attractions such as the Municipal Museum, parish church, St. Vincent Ferrer Prayer Park, Silver Concha, the pickled fish (buro) factory in Brgy. Bongato, Niña's Cafe, and more.

 

 

B. Flowers Offered to Our Heroes

On August 28, the LGU, through the Tourism, Information, and Cultural Affairs Office, offered flowers as a tribute to our heroes, commemorating their sacrifices. Dr. Rafael Saygo of MTICAO stated, "May their unwavering love for the country remain in our hearts and be passed on to future generations."

 

- Infrastructure Development (Engineering: Infra, Housing, Transport, Utilities, etc.)

 

A. Drainage Declogging in Tambac and Tamaro

The Engineering Office conducted declogging operations in the drainage systems of Brgy. Tambac and Brgy. Tamaro following extensive flooding. Initial inspections by the Engineering Office identified plastic waste blockages as one of the reasons for the flooding. Officials and residents of these barangays were encouraged to collaborate on declogging operations to prevent future incidents.

 

DISASTER RESILIENCE - (MDRRMO)

 

A. Bayambang Unites Amidst Flooding

The LGU, along with other agencies and groups, continued to provide 24/7 public services to Bayambang residents amidst flooding caused by Typhoon 'Egay.' All MDRRMC member departments conducted roving, monitoring, coordination, validation, rapid damage assessment, needs analysis, and information dissemination.

 

B. MDRRMC Updates on Typhoon "Egay" and Pre-Assessment for Typhoon "Falcon"

On July 31, the Municipal Disaster Risk Reduction Management Council held a meeting to provide updates on the steps taken by various departments and agencies during Typhoon 'Egay.' Concurrently, a Pre-Disaster Risk Assessment was conducted for the upcoming Typhoon 'Falcon.'

 

C. 830 Flooded Residents, Received Relief Goods

Started on July 30, the local government, led by MSWDO, MDRRMO, BPSO, and BPRAT in collaboration with BFP and PNP, began distributing relief goods to residents most affected by flooding caused by Typhoon 'Egay.' These residents had difficulty accessing essential items, so they received immediate assistance from the LGU, Kasama Kita sa Barangay Foundation, and Niña Cares Foundation.

 

 

D. Evacuees Received Various Services

From July 27 onwards, RHU, Nutrition Office, MSWDO, RHU, PNP, and DOH provided various services to evacuees in Manambong Sur Evacuation Center and Manambong Parte Evacuation Center. They underwent check-ups, received medication and vitamins, food packs, sanitary kits, and other forms of assistance.

 

E. Lions Club Distributes Relief Goods

Meanwhile, the Bayambang Bayanihan Lions Club International distributed relief goods on July 30 to 30 residents from five barangays affected by the recent flooding.

 

F. MDRRMO Rescues Stranded Vehicle

On August 11, an Avanza vehicle accidentally slid into a muddy area after its two wheels got stuck in the mud in Barangay Malimpec. The MDRRMO quickly responded and assisted in the rescue.

 

G. Agno River Rehab Project , Continues in Caturay

After planting bamboo trees  in eleven barangays, the MDRRMO moved on to Brgy. Caturay. On August 12, the MDRRMO, BFP, PNP, and Caturay Barangay Council planted 136 bamboo propagules using bamboo from CSFirst Green AID Inc. The project aims to reduce flood incidents caused by soil erosion, which is a primary hazard in the town of Bayambang.

 

H. OCD Region I, DILG, and DOST Validate for Gawad KALASAG

On August 24, validators from the Office of Civil Defense Region I, DILG, and DOST visited the town of Bayambang for a personal inspection in preparation for the Gawad KALASAG, the highest government award in disaster resiliency. The validation took place at the Mayor's Conference Room, MDRRMO Operations Center, and Wawa Evacuation Center, under the leadership of OCD-R1 Civil Defense Officer III Mike Aldrin Sabado. The validators thoroughly examined the implementation of the MDRRMO in four aspects of disaster resiliency: 1. Prevention and Mitigation, 2. Preparedness, 3. Response, and 4. Rehabilitation and Recovery.

 

I. MDRRMO Satellite Office, Inaugurated

A new Satellite Office was inaugurated by the MDRRMO at the Brgy. Wawa Evacuation Center on August 29. According to the MDRRMO, the new office brings services closer to the residents of District One, providing information on impending dangers and safety measures. A simple blessing ceremony was held for the opening of the Satellite Office.

 

HONEST & EFFICIENT PUBLIC SERVANTS

 

A. Mayor Niña Convened Barangay Captains Again

Mayor Niña Jose-Quiambao, along with Special Assistant to the Mayor Dr. Cezar Quiambao, once again convened the Barangay Captains on August 14 at the Events Center. The meeting addressed various concerns of the barangays. Several department heads were present to assist in addressing these concerns and provide information that the barangays needed.

 

B. SSS RACE is Here in Bayambang!

On August 18, SSS visited Bayambang to launch their "Run After Contribution Evaders (RACE)" campaign. The campaign aims to ensure that SSS contributions of all employees are regularly remitted by private companies to the agency. They visited again on August 25 at the Magic Mall to provide their services to all employees.

 

C. 6th Anniversary of the Poverty Reduction Revolution , Celebrated

On August 24, the sixth-anniversary of the Rebolusyon Laban sa Kahirapan , a program declared by former Mayor Cezar T. Quiambao on August 27, 2017, to end poverty in the town of Bayambang, was celebrated. As part of the quarterly Municipal Advisory Committee meeting at the Events Center, the Bayambang Poverty Reduction Action Team provided a detailed report on what the town has achieved through the projects and activities outlined in the Bayambang Poverty Reduction Action Plan 2018-2028 in the five sectors.

 

D. SSS Services Brought to the Public Market

After an ocular inspection of the town on August 18, the SSS agency visited Magic Supermarket in the Public Market on August 25 to provide their services to every Bayambang employee. Some of these services include Verification/Inquiries, Issuance of SSS Number, Membership Inquiry, Salary Loan Application, and more.

 

E. First Day of Filing of Certificate of Candidacy for BSKE 2023 Successfully Held

On August 28, candidates for the 2023 Barangay and Sangguniang Kabataan Elections (BSKE) filed their Certificates of Candidacy during an organized event by the Commission on Elections. A clean and peaceful election is expected for this election, thanks to the collaboration of various agencies within COMELEC, including DILG, PNP, SB, and other LGU departments.

 

 

F. Mayor Niña's Surprise Birthday Treat

On August 29, Mayor Niña Jose-Quiambao surprised the employees of the municipality, Bayambang District Hospital staffs and patients, members of TODA, the LGBTQI community, market vendors, and various companies with a free lunch treat. Simultaneously, Bani Delicious Ice Cream visited every barangay to distribute free ice cream. Each one expressed gratitude for the surprise gift in the heat of the midday sun, along with birthday wishes for the mother of the town.

A. Pre-ARTA Orientation Held at the Events Center

On August 9, the MPDO conducted an Orientation Program on Ease of Doing Business (EODB) and the Anti-Red Tape Act at the Balon Bayambang Events Center to inform all departments about how to update their Citizen's Charter based on the procedures outlined for ISO Certification. Atty. Janneliza Taloma of the Civil Service Commission Region 1 served as the lecturer. The updated Citizen's Charter is expected to streamline complex processes that can be consolidated, simplified, or eliminated because they are unnecessary.

 

Taxation & Financial Transparency (Assessor, Budget, Treasury, Accounting, IAU, BAC)

 

A. Assessor's Office Distributes Tax Declaration & Notice of Assessment

From August 2-3, 2023, the Assessor's Office distributed Tax Declarations (Owner's Copy) with Notices of Assessment (NOA) in various barangays, including Alinggan, Bacnono, Buenlag, Magsaysay, and Tambac. The issuance by the Assessor's Office provides residents with a clear basis for their property tax payments.

 

B. Assessor's Office Conducts Field Inspection for NIA Irrigation Project

On August 16, the Assessor's Office conducted a field inspection of new alignments for the irrigation project in cooperation with the National Irrigation Authority and the affected residents for Fiscal Year 2023 in Brgy. Amancosiling Norte. They were assisted by Amancosiling Norte Punong Barangay Almario Ventura and MSWDO.

A. New LGU Website,  Inaugurated

After the ISO awarding ceremony on August 16, the LGU officially launched its new website, new.bayambang.gov.ph. The new website was 100% developed by the ICT Office. The old website was created and maintained by a third-party provider, incurring costs paid by former Mayor Cezar Quiambao from his own pocket since 2016. With this new website, there are no additional expenses for the LGU.

AWARDS AND RECOGNITIONS

 

A. LGU Receives Recognition from Red Cross Once Again

On August 2, the Philippine Red Cross-Pangasinan Chapter awarded the Pinabli Award to the Local Government of Bayambang for collecting 251 blood units through Mobile Blood Donation Activities conducted in 2022. According to the Red Cross, this recognition acknowledges the significant contribution and collaboration of the LGU-Bayambang to their blood services program.

 

B. LGU-Bayambang Officially Accepts ISO Certification

On August 16, LGU Bayambang, led by Mayor Niña Jose-Quiambao and Vice Mayor IC Sabangan, officially accepted its ISO Certification from Certification Partner Global - Philippines in a ceremony held at the Balon Bayamabng Events Center. Congresswoman Rachel Arenas, Gov. Monmon Guico, and Vice Governor Ronald Lambino were among those who congratulated the LGU.

 

C. BPSO Staff Receives Commendation from Malacañang Hotline

On August 18, three staff members of the Bayambang Public Safety Office received commendations from a concerned citizen through the 8888 Citizens' Complaint Hotline of Malacañang. According to Teegee A. Gallardo of Sitio Beldet, Brgy. Tamaro, Bayambang, the service provided by BPSO emergency responders was truly commendable.

This is just one of the accolades and expressions of gratitude received by our emergency services personnel, not only from BPSO but also from MDRRMO, RHU, and the entire MDRRM Council.

 

LEGISLATIVE ENACTMENTS - (SB)

 

A. Consultation on Septage Management Program Held

On August 14, the Sangguniang Bayan conducted the first consultation with barangays regarding the Septage Management Program in accordance with Republic Act 9275 or the "Clean Water Act of 2004." It was held at the Barangay Malimpec Covered Court and attended by over a hundred people. The SB provided information to the residents of Malimpec about proposed ordinances related to the "Septage Management Program" and "Health and Sanitation" in our town, with the aim of preserving the environment and the health of the citizens while maintaining clean water in the town of Bayambang.
