Jing Abalos: He Topbilled Action Movies in His Prime


Jing Abalos is known in Philippine show business history as one of its most bankable action stars. 


According to a number of Internet sources referenced below, these are some data relevant to his life and accomplishments. 


He topbilled several movies during his prime, and is known for Batman Fights Dracula (1967), Mighty Rock (1969), and Asero (1995).


Abalos was born to Angelita Asuncion and Rufino Abalos on September 17, 1941 in Brgy. San Vicente, the third in a brood of six. He was most active in Manila's frenetic showbiz world in the years 1957-1972. 


He started off his career as a stuntman. A member of the S.O.S. Daredevils, he has also worked as a stunt instructor. 


"His first movie was Amazona. Then he was introduced in the movie Apat na Agila (alternatively titled Four Eagles), and became a full-fledged star in Batman Fights Dracula under Lea Productions in 1967, opposite Viviane Lorrain."
