HISTORY OF BARANGAY SAN GABRIEL 2ND
Barangay San Gabriel 2nd was once a community of forestland. Full of trees and grasses like talahib. Means of living of people were by planting bananas, camotes, and other crops which need less water for the crops to live.
One day, while the people were on their way, they saw an old man saying to them that someday there will come a time that they will have sufficient water for their crops to live.
Several days after the heavy rainfalls occurred, the people got surprised because of the big flow of water on one side of the barangay. From then on, people were able to plant several crops like corn, union, and others because of the help of the small creeks that existed of the said barangay. So, the people decided to get the name of San Gabriel 2nd under the name of Patron Gabriel Archangel because they knew that what they saw before, an “old man” was “Saint Gabriel Archangel” himself.
