History of Barangay Malioer
Noong unang panahon, according to historian ay may mga dayuhang napadaan sa lugar, at nagtanong kung saan ang ibang daan patungo sa ibang lugar; sumagot ang mga tao na “MALIBER” so dalan,” which means “WINDING ROAD”, kaya ang mga dayuhan ang pagkaintindi nila ang pangalan ng lugar ay MALIBER. In 1907, officially declared “Malioer” because “B” from MALIBER mistakenly written as “O”, hanggang sa kasalukuyan dala-dala na ang pangalan ng barangay MALIOER.
The Centennial Captain of Malioer was Hon. Dionisio Paningbatan-Palisoc, he was the last Captain in the 1st hundred year of Malioer, and he was the 1st Captain to the 2nd hundred years of Malioer.
Barangay Malioer celebrated its centennial celebration on April 26-27, 2007. Hon. Mauricio Castillo have been recognized by Malacañang with the longest length in service as Brgy. Captain in the entire PHILIPPINES.
