Message of MNJQ for BPRP 3.0

MESSAGE OF THE MAYOR

This document has been completed as part of the celebration of the seventh year of our Revolution Against Poverty. In seven years, it is plain to see that we have accomplished a lot, but there is still much to be done. And now that we only have three years left, I am confident that we will achieve so much more.

Over the past seven years, we have stood firm in fighting poverty, as we continuously endeavored to improve the lives of every Bayambangueño in all ways possible. Through various programs and our collective efforts, we have provided essential resources and opened up opportunities to ensure that our fellow Bayambangueños are capable and ready to face the day-to-day challenges of poverty.

With unwavering determination, we continued our fight against poverty despite many challenges, especially in the face of geopolitical instabilities on the regional and global levels. We focused on what we can do within our capacity. We continued to identify the diverse needs of Bayambangueños and took immediate action. We promptly implemented measures to deliver total quality service. Our commitment to uplift our fellow citizens’ socioeconomic situation paved the way for us to create positive changes and gradually elevate affected sectors to a better standard of living.

Now we can say we are all ready, our whole town is ready. We are ready to face the remaining three years of our commitment to the Revolution Against Poverty.

I wish to thank the Bayambang Poverty Reduction Action Team (BPRAT) for organizing so many activities that highlight the different faces of poverty that we are addressing. I’d also like to thank everyone involved from all LGU departments, national government agencies, and basic social sectors who selflessly shared their time, knowledge, and insights on their assigned thrusts, which I know greatly helped in completing this publication.

My sincere hope is that this document will serve as a fresh reminder of our shared responsibility and passion in combating poverty. May our determination be reignited and inspire us to keep working together toward our common goal of eradicating poverty and improving the lives of everyone in our community.

Let us therefore continue to empower one another, for it is through unity and collective action that we will achieve our shared vision of a poverty-free Bayambang, a place where opportunities abound and where no one is left behind.

Together, let us all make Bayambang a truly poverty-free town!

HON. MARY CLARE JUDITH PHYLIS JOSE-QUIAMBAO
