Kasama Kita sa Barangay Foundation sa Brgy. Mangayao at Managos Farmers
Agriculture Cooperative ay pumasa sa isang on-site validation ng Agricultural
Training Institute bilang mga Learning Sites for Agriculture 1 sa Bayambang.
Ipinakita ng foundation ang kahusayan nito sa goat and cattle dairy farming at
ang mga advanced na teknolohiya sa pagpaparami ng mga alagang kambing at baka.
Ipinakita naman ng kooperatiba ang kanilang mga teknolohiya sa produksyon ng
pananim na nakatuon sa mani, mais, palay, at gulay.

Bayani. Ang naturang nationwide Competitiveness Index ay siyang malimit gamitin

simula ng kanilang paglalakbay sa kompetisyon, sila ay isa-isang nagpakilala at
rumampa, at pagkatapos ay ginanap ang isang sashing ceremony sa pangunguna ni
Vice-Mayor IC Sabangan. Ang pinakahihintay na Grand Coronation Night ay
gaganapin sa darating na Abril 3, sa Balon Bayambang Events Center.

Noong February 17,
ang Local Youth Development Council (LDYC) ay nagdaos ng 1st quarterly meeting
para sa recomposition ng LYDC at upang tipunin ang mga youth leaders at
stakeholders at talakayin at mag-strategize ukol sa mga key youth development
initiatives sa ating komunidad. Kabilang sa mga pinag-usapan ay ang LYDC
committee membership, roles and responsibilities ng Bantay Kabataan,
partnerships sa mga youth-centered projects, formulation ng Local Youth
Development Plan, at ang nakatakdang pagdiriwang ng Linggo ng Kabataan.

Nagdaos ng 2-Day Seminar ukol sa Pamamahala ng Peste at Sakit sa Pananim
A. Sa unang
pagkakataon, nagsagawa ng isang seminar-workshop ukol sa Insects Pest at
Disease Management National Crop Protection Center (NCPC) ng University of the
Philippines Los Baรฑos (UPLB), katuwang ang Municipal Agriculture Office noong
February 17 to 18.
Sa unang araw,
tinalakay ang iba't ibang aspeto ng pest and disease management, kabilang na
ang pagkilala sa mga karaniwang peste at sakit na nakakaapekto sa mga pananim
sa rehiyon, ang mga epektibong paraan ng pagkontrol, at ang tamang paggamit ng
mga pesticides.
B. Ang ikalawang
araw naman ay ginanap sa mga taniman sa Barangay Darawey at Manambong Parte, at
sa Mangayao Dairy Farm upang mas maayos na maipaliwanag ang mga konsepto at
teknikalidad ng pest and disease management.

makapag-avail ng libreng X-ray, ECG, blood chemistry test, at urinalysis. Ang
mobile clinic ay pagmamay-ari na ng LGU at gagamitin tuwing mag-iikot sa mga
barangay lalo na kapag may Komprehensibong Serbisyo sa Bayan.

Noong February 20,
may 1,000 katao ang naging benepisyaryo ng ayuda ng DSWD na AICS o Assistance
to Individuals in Crisis Situation. Bawat isa ay nakatanggap ng P3,000 cash sa
tulong ng tanggapan ni Sen. Imee Marcos, sa payout na ginanap sa St. Vincent Ferrer
Prayer Park.

Nakipagdayalogo sa mga Magsasaka
Sa araw ding iyon,
dumating si Sen. Imee Marcos upang makipagdayalogo sa may 50 na onion at cron
farmers ng Bayambang. Kanyang inalam ng personal ang kanilang issues and
concerns sa pagsasaka at tiningnan ung paano agarang masosolusyunan ang mga
ito.

Barangay, Nakatanggap ng Tig-isang Sako ng Bigas mula kay Mayor Niรฑa
Ang mga 77
barangays ay nakatanggap ng tig-iisang 25-kilo na bigas mula kay Mayor Niรฑa
noong February 19. Ito ay magagamit ng mga kapitan para may supply ng pagkain
ang mga Civilian Volunteer Officers at iba pang barangay officials habang ang
mga ito ay naka-duty sa mga Barangay Hall.

Isang ina na
taga-Brgy. Amanperez ang pinadalahan ng agarang tulong ni Mayor Niรฑa matapos
malaman ang kalagayan nito. Ang ina ay isang labandera at wala nang asawa. Isa
sa mga anak nito ay na-stroke at ang isa naman ay may sakit sa pag-iisip. Kaya
naman agad na binigyan ng ayuda ang ina at ipinadala sa ospital ang anak.
Bilang parte ng pagdiriwang ng Women's Month, patuloy nating hangaan ang mga

pagdiriwang ng ika-35 Civil Registration Month, nagsagawa ang Local Civil
Registry (LCR) ng libreng issuance ng civil registry documents para sa mga
Bayambangueรฑo noong February 19. Sa naturang aktibidad, maraming residente ang
naisyuhan ng mahahalagang dokumento ng libre tulad ng birth certificate,

MAKING HISTORY FOR A BETTER FUTURE
The Bayambang Polytechnic
College (BPC) was established on June 27, 2022 by virtue of Municipal Ordinance
No. 05, S-2022 which later on approved through Sangguniang Panlalawigan
Resolution No. 586-2022. The BPC which was established on June 27, 2022 is an
LGU-owned and operated college that aims to provide comprehensive, high
quality, collaborative, affordable, and accessible opportunities that empower
learners to meet lifelong educational, professional, and personal goals, as
well as to drive the engine of economic development in the municipality.
The long-cherished dream of
Municipal Mayor of Bayambang and Chairman of the Board of Trustees, Honorable
MARY CLARE JUDITH PHYLLIS “NIรA” JOSE-QUIAMBAO and former Mayor and
founder of the Bayambang Polytechnic College (BPC), DR. CEZAR QUIAMBAO,
to have a college that would accommodate Bayambangueรฑo students, has finally
come true.
The college was entrusted to DR.
RAFAEL LIMUECO SAYGO as being the Interim College President along with the
entire Board of Trustees and College officials. DR. LITA A. SAYGO was
appointed as the College Dean, DR. ANNIE C. MANALANG as the Overall
Program Head, MRS. VERONICA GELLIDO for the Program Head for BS
Entrepreneurship and MR. JOSEPH ANTHONY QUINTO as the Program Head for
BS Agribusiness.
The programs of the college
were duly recognized by the Commission on Higher Education (CHED) and Technical
Skills & Development Authority (TESDA) ensuring a better future for the
youth through accessible, affordable, and quality education. The BPC offers two
(2) degree courses, namely Bachelor of Science in Agri-Business Management and
Bachelor of Science in Entrepreneurship and two (2) vocational programs, namely
Computer Systems Servicing (CSS)NC II, and Electrical Installation and
Maintenance (EIM) Services NC II. These courses offered are some of the most
in-demand courses after graduation. Agriculture is a large part of the college
as Bayambang is an agricultural town, and the LGU desires for the locals to
become adept with knowledge and technical expertise which will help them and
the town grow socio-economically in the long run. This will help Bayambang win
in its Revolution against Poverty that is first and foremost a program for the
betterment of the lives of the people in the municipality.
The facility for the BPC will have four (4) classrooms, one (1)
electrical laboratory room, one (1) computer laboratory room, a faculty room,
an administrative office, and a Learning Resource Center. Each classroom can
accommodate up to 60 students, while the electrical laboratory room can
accommodate 30 and the computer room has 25 computers and can accommodate up to
25 students at a time.
Each of
the four (4) classrooms are
fully-equipped with a projector screen, white board, 50 desk chairs, and
air-condition units to give the teachers and students comfort during their
daily lessons. The whiteboard is big enough for the whole class to see, so even
those seated at the back row would be able to grasp the lesson and take notes
while listening to their instructor. The rooms are big enough so that everyone
can practice physical distancing in consideration of the COVID-19 pandemic, but
small enough so each student can hear the insights from the instructors who
will be chosen based on their educational attainment, experience, and
capabilities.
Near the classrooms is the
computer laboratory room that is designed to accommodate up to 25 students at
any given time. The 25 computers will be aligned and strategically placed in
five (5) rows, with five computers each row to give ample space for the students
to freely manage their tasks and learn about the
nitty-gritty of the course. This is also to give enough space for the computer
case, monitor, keyboard, mouse pad, and mouse to be placed not too close to
each other.
Similar to the classrooms, the computer laboratory room is also be
air-conditioned. This is done not only to give comfort to students, but also to
ensure that the motherboard, central processing unit, graphics processing unit,
random access memory, and hard disk drive are safe from overheating so as not
to disable costly equipment and require the management to buy another set of
computers. After all, part of the school expenses is aligned for logistics and
ensuring the capacity of the equipment being used by the teachers and students.
Whiteboards and markers will also be placed at the computer laboratory
room so the instructor can make notes while teaching, and for the students to
better understand the parts and processes of the computers.
As for the electrical laboratory room, up to 30 students can be
accommodated at any given time. For safety, the room will be having several
rows of tables to ensure that students are seated far apart, especially during
their activities. Insulation is also guaranteed, and air-conditioning is
available to avoid unnecessary mishaps. There will be a designated area where
students can store their personal protective equipment to be used specifically
for training, and aside from the variety of tools and equipment which will be
used to enhance the skills of the students, immediate safety tools such as a
fire extinguisher, as well as safety reminders, shall be present. As the BPC is
working to prevent any accidents, the management assures that it will follow
proper temperatures, stringent power quality requirements, proper electrical
insulation, and the installation of protective devices throughout the room. In
addition, dangerous equipment, especially those that can cause fire, shall be
regularly monitored and stored in a safe area.
A faculty room was also included in the floor plan to accommodate the
needs of the instructors. Each instructor will get their own chair, desk and
drawers while the room shall have a couch where they can lounge while waiting
for their class to begin. A separate area within the room will serve as a mini
pantry where the faculty members can have coffee, or store their snacks, and
mingle with their peers.
The administrative office is where the school’s files will be kept and
stored, and where the administrative staff will be staying daily. The room will
have a receiving area where the cashier and information desk will be placed for
student concerns and transactions. Similar to the faculty, each administrative
staff will have their own chair, desk and drawers where they can store their
files for the college. It will also have a mini pantry for the same purpose.
The library, computers, and tables and chairs will be found at the BPC’s
Learning Resource Center. The mini library shall have shelves filled with books
regarding agriculture, business, entrepreneurship, computer systems management,
and more where students can further enhance their knowledge and find materials
relevant to their courses so they have enough material for their research and
development. Computers will be equipped with fast internet connection so
students can do their online research and look for more reading materials as
part of their program. The tables and chairs are where the students can read,
write, and study for them to earn their degree. Additionally, the large tables
may be utilized by the instructors for holding small meetings and reviews with
their peers or students. All rooms are air-conditioned and designed to become a
space where each student can train and study as they aim to achieve their
goals.
As of the moment, the college is located at the third floor of a local
mall, The Royal Mall, which is
the most efficient and safest choice. It has an elevator, making it accessible
to people with special needs, and it has emergency exits in case of unexpected
mishaps. The elevator is located near the entrance and exit door. Only a few
steps away is a 24/7 convenience store where students can spend their breaks
and buy food and other necessities. It is also adjacent to the area of the
Bayambang Public Market where school supplies and photocopying machines are
readily available for the students’ use.
These facilities are only temporary as the Local Government Unit has
begun the construction of a new building for the BPC in a 6.7-hectare lot in
Brgy. Bical Norte. Soon to rise is the permanent building for the BPC as the
LGU-Bayambang aims for the college to become a permanent educational facility
for Bayambangueรฑo students from all over the municipality. The Royal Mall is
only the beginning, yet LGU-Bayambang understands the needs of the students for
a conducive facility where they can reach their goals and earn a degree, so the
management is working towards continuous development. The LGU and the college
administration is continuously tapping and collaborating with possible sponsors
of the school buildings. Now,
there is no need for college students to enroll in universities or colleges
outside the town or province as the opportunity has been brought closer to
them. This means that students no longer need to worry about their daily fares,
payment for dorms or apartments, and being away from their families as their
need for a college that offers their desired course is already here.
In the battle to fight poverty,
education is the most important tool for progress and sustainability. It is not
a privilege, but a right that can never be taken away from an individual. Thus,
this college is here to make history for a better future for the people of
Bayambang.

Ang Department of Agriculture-Regional Field Office I ay naglaan ng 20 kahon ng Parker Neem para upang gamitin sa massive spraying para sa 16 ektarya ng sakahan ng sibuyas. Isinagawa ang spraying activity ng Agriculture Office sa tulong ng DA Region I, Office of the Provincial Agriculturist, at Bureau of Plant Industry.

Kasama rin dito ang Community Service Card team upang makapag-data capture at mag-asiste sa iba pang proseso ng Local Civil Registry.

Noong February 12, ang mga department at unit heads ng LGU ay sumailaim sa isang orientation activity ng Civil Service Commission Director II Flordeliza C. Ang aktibidad ay nagbigay ng mga insights at patnubay pagdating sa alignment ng mga layunin ng mga departamento sa mga naitakdang performance standards at pagsulong ng isang "culture of continuous learning and development" sa LGU.
13. Ferrer Family, Muling Nagdonate ng mga Aklat
Ang LGU ay muling nagpapasalamat kay Mr. Joey M. Ferrer at kanyang pamilya ng Roxas St., Bayambang at Pittsburg, California, sa kanilang bagong batch ng mga donasyong libro at kagamitan sa iba't ibang paaralan at indibidwal sa Bayambang. Mula noon pa, ang pamilya Ferrer ay isa sa mga malimit magdonate ng mga aklat sa ating Municipal Library.
14. 57 Couples, Nag-isang-dibdib sa Kasalang Bayan 2025
Bilang parte ng pagdiriwang ng Buwan ng mga Puso at Civil Registration Month, matagumpay na ikinasal ang 57 na magkasintahan sa isang engrandeng Kasalang Bayan na muling inihatid ng LGU sa pag-oorganisa ng Local Civil Registry Office noong February 13. Ang seremonyas na ginanap sa Events Center ay pinangunahan ni Municipal Trial Court Presiding Judge Djoanivie Jomare Junasa at iba pang Municipal Officials. Gaya noong mga nakaraan, ang 57 couples ay nabiyayaan ng mga libreng regalo mula sa mga opisyal at sa LGU.

Ang pagtanggap ng seal na BSGLG ay isang kongkretong patunay ng dedikasyon ng naturang mga barangay officials sa mahusay na pamamahala, transparency, at epektibong paglilingkod sa kanilang komunidad.

Alam ba ninyo...? Ang Unibersidad ng Pilipinas Los Baรฑos (UPLB) ay nagsimula bilang Kolehiyo ng Agrikultura sa Los Baรฑos, Laguna, noong 1909 na itinatag ng pamahalaang Amerikano upang mapabuti ang edukasyong pang-agrikultura sa bansa. Sa paglipas ng panahon, naging lider ito sa pananaliksik, partikular sa pagsasaka, paggugubat, at bioteknolohiya.
Noong Ikalawang Digmaang Pandaigdig, ang UPLB ay sinakop ng mga Hapones, at ang ilan sa mga gusali nito ay ginamit bilang mga internment camp para sa mga bilanggo. Pagkatapos ng digmaan, patuloy itong lumawak at naging isang independiyenteng unibersidad noong 1972.
Ngayon, kilala ang UPLB sa mga kontribusyon nito sa agham, pangangalaga sa kapaligiran, at agrikultura, na tumutulong sa pagbuo ng mga makabagong pamamaraan sa pagsasaka at pagdiskubre ng mga varieties ng pananim na kapakipakinabang sa Pilipinas at sa buong mundo.

At alam ba ninyo kung ano ang National Crop Protection Center?
Ang National Crop Protection Center o NCPC ay isang extension agency ng UP Los Baรฑos na dalubhasa sa pagtataguyod ng seguridad sa pagkain at katatagan ng agrikultura mula sa mga peste sa pamamagitan ng mga programa sa pamamahala ng peste. Ito ay itinatag noong May 19, 1976 sa ilalim ng pamumuno ni Pangulong Ferdinand Marcos.
Ito ay may tungkuling suriin ang mga problema, magsaliksik, at magpaplano para sa proteksyon ng pananim. Nag-aalok sila ng mga seminar sa mga magsasaka at agri-industrial sektor upang matulungan silang maunawaan at bumuo ng mga kasanayan at kaalaman sa pagproprotekta ng kanilang pananim.

Alam niyo ba na ang ika-10 Chancellor ng Unibersidad ng Pilipinas Los Baรฑos (UPLB) na si Dr. Jose V. 'Dong' Camacho Jr. ay tubong Bayambang?
Si Chancellor Camacho ay dalubhasa sa economics, nagtapos ng Bachelor of Science in Economics mula sa UPLB, Master of Arts in Economics mula sa International Institute of Social Studies sa Netherlands, at Doctor of Economics mula sa Kyoto University sa Japan. Bago naging Chancellor, nagsilbi siya bilang Dean ng UPLB Graduate School at humawak ng iba't ibang academic positions sa unibersidad.
Isa sa kaniyang pangunahing adbokasiya ay ang "Future-Proofing UPLB," na naglalayong panatilihing makabago at handa sa hinaharap ang unibersidad. Bukod sa kanyang pamamahala sa unibersidad, mayroon din siyang karanasan sa pagtuturo sa UP Rural High School, na nagpatibay sa kanyang kakayahan bilang guro at pinuno sa larangan ng edukasyon.

BPC History
Alam ba ninyo na ang Bayambang Polytechnic College ay itinatag ng LGU-Bayambang noon lamang September 5, 2022.
Ngunit bago pa man ito maitatag, nauna nang magbalak ang dating Mayor, Dr. Cezar T. Quiambao, noong 2016 ng isang branch ng PUP o Polytechnic University of the Philippines upang punuan ang kakulangan sa oportunidad sa higher education sa mga kabataan ng Bayambang.
Hindi man ito natuloy, nauwi ito sa pagtatag ng isang panibagong eskwelahan.
At noong 2022, agad na nagsagawa ng public hearing ang Sangguniang Bayan ukol sa pagpapatayo nito hanggang sa maipasa ang isang ordinansang nagpapahintulot dito, at ito ay maaprubahan ng Sangguniang Panlalawigan.
At noon na ngang termino ni Mayor Nina Jose-Quiambao, naitatag sa wakas ang pangarap na kolehiyo ni Mayor Cezar. Salamat sa milyun-milyong startup fund na kanilang idinonate, mabilis na nakumpleto ang mga pangangailangan ng kolehiyo.
Agad din itong dumaan sa Commission on Higher Education at TESDA accreditation sa loob lamang ng tatlong buwan -- pinakamabilis sa buong rehiyon, kundi man sa buong bansa.
Sa investiture na ginanap noong September 5, 2022, itinalagang unang presidente ng BPC si Dr. Rafael L. Saygo.
Ang BPC ay tumanggap ng paunang 400 na enrollees, kung saan karamihan sa kanila ay pinakaunang college student sa kanilang angkan o pamilya, at ang mga opisina at classrooms nito ay binuo sa 3rd floor ng Royal Mall at sa lumang Bayambang Central School.
Sa ngayon, ang BPC ay may halos isang libong estudyante na na nakapag-enroll sa mga kursong Computer Systems Servicing NC II, Electrical Installation and Maintenance Services NC II, Agribusiness, at Entrepreneurship.
