Alam niyo ba na ang Bids and Awards Committee ay may bagong Government Procurement Act… Mula sa R.A 9184 o Government Procurement Reform Act of 2003?

Ang Bagong Procurement Act ay ang Republic Act No. 12009 or New Government Procurement Act, at ito ay nailathala 15 days matapos malagdaan ni President Ferdinand Marcos, Jr noong Hulyo 20, 2024 at kamakailan lamang ay inilabas na ang draft ng Implementing Rules and Regulations of the New Government Procurement Act 12009, at ito ay inilathala upang humingi ng komento sa publiko ukol dito hanggang December 20, 2024 bago ito mai-finalize.

Layunin ng bagong batas na ito na itaguyod ang mas malaking transparency, accountability, operational efficiency, and value for money. Ang PhilGEPS (Philippine Government Electronic Procurement System) ang magiging single electronic portal na magsisilbing pangunahing pinagkukunan ng impormasyon at channel sa pagsasagawa ng lahat ng aktibidad sa gobyerno.
