Spotlight: Director Allan Michael Ibañez

ALLAN MICHAEL IBAÑEZ Indie Film Director (Arts and Culture) Allan Michael Ibañez is an internationally multi-awarded indie filmmaker from Bayambang.
Ibañez has directed movies, including the comedy-drama "1st Sem," his debut film with co-director Dexter Paglinawan Hemedez which was an official entry to the CineFilipino Film Festival.
He has bagged such awards as the Grand Jury Prize feature film at the San Diego International Kids' Film Festival, the Best Feature Film award under the Debut Directors category at the All Lights India International Film Festival, and Honorable Mention for Best Feature Film at the 12th Buffalo Niagara Film Festival.
Ibañez finished his elementary and secondary education in Bayambang Central School and Bayambang National High School (batch 2007) before taking up B.S. Statistics at the University of the Philippines-Diliman and graduating in 2011.
At ABS-CBN, he was the writer of “Nasan Ka nang Kailangan Kita” (Waiting for Love) for ABS-CBN, a Junior Story Editor for Pinoy Big Brother All-in, and Monitor and Brainstormer for the Content Monitoring and Development Group.
As a short film creator based in Quezon City and a film director, he heads the media production Plot Entertainment Study.
